After much anticipation, UPC have just launched the fastest broadband (by a country kilometer in Ireland), the 100mb UPC Fiber Power broadband product, to selected areas.This product sees UPC step ahead of all other Internet Service Providers. At least x4 times better than the best of the rest.

Sky TV costs more in Ireland than in the UK..well kinda

A price survey carried out by Fine Gael claims that customers in Ireland are paying more for Sky television than customers in the United Kingdom. Communications Spokesman Leo Varadkar TD claims the Irish customers are paying up to 20% more than customers in the United Kingdom and are getting an inferior service.

Broadband deals just got a whole lot better

We've all heard the complaints about slow broadband speed but it seems there is good news coming down the wire faster than you can say upgrade my broadband subscription now. Speeds of up to 120Mbps will be available by August next year according to Chorus ntl/UPC. The company has just announced plans for ultrafast 30Mb fibre power broadband in Ireland beginning on January 4.

In cooperation with its vendor Thomson, UPC is introducing a next generation of energy saving green set-top boxes. This initiative fits within UPC’s climate challenge programme which is designed to reduce carbon emissions.
